Here everything is carried out just like it used to be: the phases of the moon are strictly followed in both rackings and bottling. The vineyards are still hoed by hand to provide the roots of the vines with plenty of natural breathing space, and allowing for just the right absorption of rainwater and penetration of the sun’s rays to cater for full, juicy ripening of the bunches in autumn.

There is never a hurry to get the harvest underway, because it is the last rays of sunshine in the autumn that give the touch of quality that distinguishes our wines, making them so widely-appreciated by connoisseurs throughout the world.

The winery produces a limited number of bottles of the great D.O.C. wines of the Langhe, featuring the highest quality resulting from thorough selection of the finest grapes, which are then vinified with care, experience and proven skill.

Our wines are: Barolo, Barbaresco, Langhe Nebbiolo, Langhe Dolcetto, Barbera d’Alba, Regio, Roero Arneis, Langhe Chardonnay e Barolo Chinato.

The ACHILLE VIGLIONE sas. winery is located in SERRALUNGA D’ALBA, near Alba (Piedmont), in the heart of the Langhe hills, in an area where vines have been cultivated for thousands of years and the famous BAROLO wine is grown.

The company is a family-run business, Achille, his sons:Francesco and Monica, his brothers Elio and Carlo. Those people use still traditional methods and practices in the vineyard and the cellar.

“Everything is carried out just like it used to be.”
